Case Study

96 Stake Accounts and $250 in Missing USDC

A user came to the Solana Mobile Discord asking how to unstake accounts containing less than 1 SOL. The process through Seed Vault can be unclear at first, especially when many separate stake accounts are involved.

I suggested trying Token Studio, which allows stake accounts to be selected and deactivated in batches.

A few minutes later, Token Studio’s anonymous telemetry showed that someone had just deactivated 96 stake accounts. Seconds later, the user returned to Discord to confirm it had worked.

96 accounts. 3 clicks. 4 transactions.

Instead of managing every position individually, the user selected all 96 accounts and Token Studio divided the operation into four batched transactions.

While we were talking, the user mentioned another problem: approximately 250 USDC had disappeared from their wallet.

I asked whether their USDC balance appeared red in Token Studio. It did.

A red token balance indicates that the underlying account has an active delegate, another address authorized to transfer its tokens. That gave us the lead we needed.

We traced a delegated transfer of 255 USDC through Solana’s Subscriptions and Allowances program into a Squads smart account, and from there into Kamino Finance.

The funds had not been drained. Loyal’s automatic yield system had moved the user’s idle USDC into Kamino lending, leaving 5 USDC in the original wallet.

One conversation, two problems solved

What began as a simple unstaking question became a perfect demonstration of why Token Studio exposes the account details that ordinary wallet balances often hide.

In a standard wallet, unstaking 96 separate accounts would have easily consumed an entire afternoon by approving transaction after transaction one by one. Token Studio turned that into a single 1-operation flow executed in just a few clicks.

This is exactly why I'm building Token Studio.
